bob pendarvis: your turn

Daniel (CoffinRust.com)

April 25, 2008

Hey, this is Daniel, guess what? I'm finally in the DragonCon Art Show again this year. The art director called me and basically told me I could only get in if I promised to censor myself (the impression was also made that if I didn't, I'll be kicked out for good).

Also, I have myself a book coming out next Wednesday, of my paintings and drawings. It also contains a special sneak peek at my next book which will, finally, after all these years, be my COMICS.

Well, hope to hear from you soon!

Hey, Bob. My name is Todd "Nancy" Carignan (your nickname, not mine). I don't know if you remember me. Graduated SCAD in 1997. Not doing any sequential stuff now, mostly fine art painting and a little pop art. Anyway, just decided to track you down. I appreciate the education I got from you. I still love the medium, but I've given up on being a comics artist. Maybe later, on my own terms. Anyway, just checking up on you. Are you still at SCAD? Drop me a line.

Hey, Bob! Dunno if you remember me as I graduated back in 2004, but I'm the Asian guy that tends to bump into you at Dragon*Con (though I missed you this past year). Anyway, hope all is going well down at SCADland.

BOB! I was one of your early sequential arts grads in '96... I don't know if you remember me.. (there was one with a robot and dinosaurs). It's been forever and I want to hear your music.. (i didn't even know you did music.. I remember Joe Dinosaur Head, though)

I live in LA now, I do little horror movies that are too artsy for their own good and I'm glad to have found your site! Talk soon!

Greetings Bob. Be amazed if you remember me. Lived over you and the "wrong people" for a short time on Gaston Street back in the 80's. Was poking on the web and your name came to mind; I googled, etc.

20 years later I remain married to Gillian (was Quinby); 4 kids; pastor a church in Charlotte, NC. I gather SCAD has changed a hair since it was just two buildings on Bull Street across from the bookstore in the Scottish Rite building.

Glad you have prospered with it.

Blessings,

c.

November 6, 2007

Hey Bob,
Since I won't be seeing you on your BDay, Happy BDay! Mine is this Sunday. I'll be 22.
Your birthday blog reminded me of my past birthdays. I can remember My mom going out of her way to surprise me with something awesome every year, except for one year. My last birthday at home, My 18th. I didn't even get a cake and a card. I was very upset and my aunt Debbie took pity on me and baked me a cake. So we had cake and sang and I felt better. But since then I have always had less than awesome birthdays. Especially if I try to plan them myself. But at least I can remember what an awesome birthday party is like and be happy that I had so many of them growing up.

Hey Bob,

It was good seeing you at DragonCon. I looked at the material you gave me and there is some crazy talent coming out of SCAD! They're lucky to have a teacher and spokesperson out there working hard to give the students all the PR they can get.

Take it easy! Keep up the great work.

Excellent website! It's nice that there is a place where I can keep up with your shenanigans.

Are you going to be at DragonCon again this year? If so, be sure to check out my wife's photography in the art show. I, on the other hand, am still banned from the show, but I'll definitely still be there.

I'm also going to add your website to my Links page the next time I update it!

Love the design. It may just be a template, but it shows you have good taste. The "stray thoughts" section is a great idea as the state of being busy does not allow us to get together often enough!

Booooooob, the website is so pink! It'll haunt me in my sleep (because I'll still see it on my eyelids when I close my eyes) in a good sort of way! Once you get some artwork up I can add you to the rotating affiliate link on my website (http://seraphim-eyes.net in the bottom right corner) and it'll be cool :D
