lighthouse (from the album LOW COUNTRY LADY)

i wrote this song to honor st. simon's beloved lighthouse. i could've made it another ghost story, but i thought the album had enough of those already. actually, the last five songs on the album are meant to work together. it's not quite a rock opera, not even a mini-opera, but it's sorta kinda like one.
lighthouse,
won't you answer me?
shine your light
and help me to see

all of the stars
have disappeared from view
lighthouse, my friend
you know i
count on you

lighthouse,
won't you answer me?
shine your light
and help me to see
lighthouse,
won't you guide my way?
help me live
to sail another day

all of the stars
have disappeared from view
lighthouse, my friend
please help me
make it through

lighthouse,
won't you answer me?
shine your light
and help me to see
lighthouse,
won't you guide my way?
help me live
to sail another day
