happiness was written the day that charles schultz died. the peanuts comic strip was (and still is) a very big part of my life. when he died, on the day that the final peanuts strip ran in the papers, well, i just couldn't help but put down my thoughts in writing. the whole song, music and lyrics, was actually written during a verrrry long bubble bath taken on that dark, immeasurably sad day.
